Music Library

Welcome to the Music Library!Enjoy your stay getting an in-depth look at my mindset composing music for several recent titles, starting with:

Developed over the course of the Spring 2025 semester with a team of eight, Heart & Mind is a game where you play as the Heart and Mind of Madeline as the two stumble through her consciousness, uncovering lost memories during their search for Mind's crown. This project was based on a previous concept we had four weeks to further expand on. Highlight tracks include:

Intertwined - This is the theme that plays throughout Act I of the game. This game also introduced me to working on music that takes a slower, methodical approach as opposed to the fast-paced, eccentric works I typically make. My biggest inspirations were titles we used for visual references in our game, such as TUNIC and Gris.

Broken Promises - After our characters are separated at the end of Act I, Act II now sees the players using the Heart & Mind without each other's assistance. I wanted this to be further showcased in the music during this portion of the game. The first half (piano) represents the Mind character while the second half (violin) represents the Heart character.

Created in under 48 hours for the 2024 Global Game Jam & runner up for Best Overall, The Circus of Laughs is about participating in two short circus-themed mini-games while staying alive through the power of their own laughter. I wanted all of the music to fast-paced and eccentric to contrast the eerie ending music. Highlight tracks include:

Main Theme 1 - This is an upbeat & energetic theme that serves as an introduction for our game from our narrator. I was inspired to use "clown music" from games with circus levels like the Super Mario series.

Main Theme 2 - This is meant to serve as a "final theme" that plays when the player reaches the end. This is my first time making a theme that's much more eerie than upbeat like usual, including audio clips from our VA.

An otome, beat-em-up game about trying not to die, win the heart of your crush, and ignoring the pleas of your concerningly close childhood friend. Made for Brackey's Game Jam 2023 by myself and three other members in under 48 hours, where I composed all of the music to fit the goofy nature of That Time I Got Reincarnated and Cursed My School. Highlight tracks include:

Lunch Is Cancelled - Since this game takes place in a typical "anime high school" setting, I used an unfinished scrapped theme I made for a scrapped project that had a Doki Doki Literature Club setting, hence the inspiration for this sounding like DDLC music.

Hackin' Slash - As the name implies, this theme is used for the main combot loop of the game - which is to hack and slash through hordes of zombies to reach the end. I remember hearing the strong bass in the Chainsaw Man anime opening (Kick Back) and using that as an inspiration for the high usage of bass guitar.

Inbody developed by Little Blood Cell Studios, a Studio group comprised of ten members - including myself. This game follows a story of an anthropomorphic white blood cell, made by The Creator to cure a sickness that's plaguing his body. This was my first experience making video game music to this extent and while outdated, I'm very fond of what I accomplished at an early stage. Highlight tracks include:

Heart Level Theme - The goal with this song was to give off the feeling of traveling around your physical heart. I made the instrumental feel very cold and empty, almost like you're traveling through a cavern of sorts.

Brain Level Theme - At the time, I didn't realize it but I managed to use a motif from one of the songs in Undertale, which was a telling sign of just how much Toby Fox's work inspirated me to create similar works in the future.
